David Johnson : Equine Construction Ltd
David Johnson has erected various structures at this Stud over the last couple of months including a horse walker, a lunging ring, a manure pit and Monarch horse boxes. He has also laid concrete, installed a new cess pit – having sorted out the pipe work – and fitted a modern office for the Stud.
He is very resourceful and a great solver of problems.
All his work has been of the highest quality and it has been completed in time and to budget.
He and his team have been well organised and pleasant to have at the Stud.
I would recommend David Johnson very highly.
I am happy to answer any queries you may have by telephone.

To Whom it May Concern
Equine Construction Ltd
David Johnson has recently renewed our horse walker base as the original was of poor quality and construction, and this spring’s flooding had eroded the ground. He understood the problems and limitations of the site, and designed a properly engineered, low-maintenance scheme that met our needs perfectly. By digging out the poor sub-soil and replacing it with well-compacted scalpings, incorporating land drains, he constructed a strong flood-resiliant foundation on which to form and cast the new base.
His planning was excellent, materials arrived when needed and he kept the site as tidy as possible during the work. We’re very happy to recommend David as he is a hard-working problem solver with a good eye, and was completely reliable and very agreeable to have around.

"Equine Construction has delivered an excellent service. It is refreshing to work with someone whose own experience means they genuinely understand the specific needs of an equestrian business. I am very happy with the results."
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you, Sarah and the whole team at Equine Construction for making our dreams at Sparrow Oast come true.
Building a brand new indoor arena and car park immediately adjacent to our outdoor arena and yard full of horses can only mean one thing – spooky horses and training disrupted for months, well at least that’s what I thought!!
During the whole build process we only had one day when we could not train, every one of your team was sympathetic to the horses and clients!
You took the stress totally away from me and enabled me to continue my work, and there I was considering project managing it at one time!! Not a chance!!!
The finished product is stunning, the quality of the build speaks volumes. The arena is light, airy and peaceful. The clients have mentioned that it even has a lovely calm aura. We could not have wished for more.
I will be extremely happy to recommend Equine Construction to anyone considering building an arena or stable yard.
I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a healthy, happy and successful 2017.

My initial idea was that I wanted an indoor arena and stables, for my own use, but also to invest in the property and of course increase its long-term value, should I decide to sell…what I’ve ended up with far exceeds my initial vision!”
Equine Construction were recommended to me by two sources, however I always like to make my own mind up. I found It was great to speak to someone who understands horses and our discipline. For example, another company asked, ‘does it matter is the arena is not quite 60x x 20m…’ I think that sums it up really.”
David was very prompt to come and visit (something no other company did) and chatting to him it was obvious he knew his job and fully understands equine requirements.
David and his team were excellent, from start to finish. I was kept informed every step of the way and David had solutions for all challenges and some great ideas.
